Burak Elibol
UI/UX Designer Intern
Burak Elibol started working in the industry while studying Computer Programming at Istanbul Aydın University. Agency work taught him to move fast; software companies taught him what it takes to maintain a product over years. Having seen both sides, he treats design as part of the development process rather than a visual layer applied at the end.
At SUNS Tech he is responsible for user interface and experience design. He tends to start with a question rather than a screen: what is the user trying to do here, where do they get stuck, which step is unnecessary. By testing decisions early at the wireframe and prototype stage, he keeps the expensive mistakes off the table before development begins. He puts particular weight on building design systems and keeping them maintainable at the component level, so that new screens fit into an existing structure instead of being drawn from scratch.
He builds working prototypes in Framer, which lets ideas be discussed in a tangible form instead of as static screenshots. He also works across the Adobe ecosystem for brand identity, digital ad creative and print material. Speaking the same language as the development team is one of the things that reduces loss in the handoff from design to code.
In his spare time he picks apart the interfaces of newly released products to work out what succeeds and why. He believes a design decision should rest on more than "it looks good".
